Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
2026 is just hours away, and Reading to Kids may have one last request for you in 2025! We are now
only $1,667 away from meeting our goal of
$70,000 from 500 donors!
With just 12 hours left in our
2025 Annual Fund Drive, we're asking for a donation of any size to help us reach our goal. Just $5 can buy four take-home prize books for children in Los Angeles!

IN LAST HOURS OF 2025!
So far 356 donors have given $68,333, so we need YOUR help to reach our ambitious
2025 Annual Fund Drive goal of raising $70,000 from 500 donors by midnight tonight!
Here's how you can help us meet our $70,000 goal today:
1) Donate by check or
online today. Contributions of
any amount are greatly appreciated!
2) Become our 6th Fundraising Angel and ask friends and family to contribute! We've
made it super simple - just create a quick
fundraising page on Facebook, or print out our
donor sheet
and start asking, or spend a few minutes personalizing and
sending our
sample message.
3) Double your donation! Ask your employer to
match your donation to Reading to Kids and double your
impact.
We have so far received (or are expecting) matching donations from The Capital Group Companies Charitable Foundation, Disney,
Oaktree Capital Management, Northrop Grumman, Google, Comcast NBCUniversal, Numerator, AT&T, Netflix, Abbvie, GE, Roblox, Blue Shield of California, Epic Games, and Sony Pictures - all through the efforts and requests of our volunteers who work for those companies.
Once your employer, friends, and family know about
Reading to Kids, many will want to donate to us
and are looking for a great cause to support -
we just need you to ask!
Note: If
donating by check, please make sure the check is dated on or
before today, December 31, 2025. If donating by credit card, the
donation must be made today.
(FYI, the Reading to Kids staff members have been out of town since Christmas Day, so if you mailed in a check, please let us know!

JANUARY 10TH READING CLUBS
Our January 10th "Mysteries & New Adventures" reading clubs are probably already filled - but people's plans change, so please keep checking back at www.readingtokids.org to see if any new spots have opened!
These January reading clubs will be smaller since the kids will still be on their three-week Winter Break.

OFFICE INTERNS NEEDED
Looking for a new way to get involved with Reading to Kids? Want to add volunteer office help to your resume? We currently are looking for a few good
interns to help us in the office on weekdays on a regular basis.
There are tons of things that need to be done in the office for every reading club, as well as general office work. If you or someone you trust is interested and available to intern with us during weekdays, please

GOT A NEW COMPUTER OR TABLET?
GIVE YOUR OLD ONE TO A KID!
Looking way ahead to our April reading clubs, we would love to give away a computer or iPad/tablet to one lucky kid at each school!
If you or your employer have any working computers that are less than 6 years old running Windows 10 or later, or any Macintosh computers less than 7 years old, or any iPads or similar tablets, we can give them to deserving kids!
We especially need working computers (CPUs), whether or not they come with monitors, keyboards, etc. Please email us at

FOR THE 2026 LA MARATHON OR LA 5K!

Team Reading to Kids in the 2026 Los
Angeles Marathon on Sunday,
March 8th!
This is our 12th time running the marathon, and we're looking for four more marathon runners to join us in one of the best marathons in the country.
If that distance is too daunting, you can join us in the LA 5K (that's just 3.1 miles) near Dodger Stadium the day before the marathon on Saturday, March 7th.
