Happy Leap Day! Our March 9th "Music & Entertainment" reading clubs have filled up nicely, though we may have a few open spots open up as people realize they need to cancel.

If all of our reader spots are full when you check our website, please keep checking back over the next week for new spots that often become open.

Volunteers and the kids will also enjoy these music performers at each school!

(If you have signed up and can't make it after all, please cancel your RSVP online immediately to make room for another volunteer.)

LEAD VOLUNTEERS WANTED!

With only three employees at Reading to Kids, we rely on dedicated Site Coordinators to keep our program running smoothly each month.

We also need experienced volunteers to help train new and returning volunteers, be a GLC, or especially to be an Operations Helper and reader at any of our schools.

If you have volunteered with us before, e-mail us at info@readingtokids.org to tell us the above role you would like to take on to help create wonderful reading clubs!

READING TO KIDS AMBASSADORS
NEEDED NEXT WEEK!

Next Thursday or Friday for an hour or two between 7:30am and 2:30pm, we need your help conducting quick classroom walk-throughs to encourage kids to come to our March 9th reading clubs.

We are especially looking for volunteers who can pass out flyers to parents when school lets out at around 2:15pm next Friday, Mar. 8th.

This can be a lot of fun and we'll provide everything you need. Please reply to info@readingtokids.org or call the office at (310) 479-7455 if you can be an Ambassador for an hour or two next week!

Help represent Reading to Kids during the Los Angeles Marathon on March 17th by handing out water to the runners!

Our group will be at Water Station Mile 9 at Hollywood Blvd & Hobart Blvd., on Sunday, March 17th from 5am - 11am.

Our 2024 runners have until March 17th to reach their ambitious $20,000 fundraising goal! If you can donate a buck a mile to your favorite runner, you'll help fuel them towards the finish line!

They have been training for months, and so far our runners have raised $5,800 in support of our monthly reading clubs.

Your donation will make all their months and miles of training pay off in books for the kids we serve!

With every mile they train and every dollar they raise, these valiant souls help you inspire kids with a love of reading.

Reading to Kids' Legendary Bingo fundraiser at Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood

Our next fundraising events will be on May 11th and in the fall, so we need your help gathering prizes for raffles, silent auctions, and bingo winners!

To help you get started, here is information about Reading to Kids to share with potential donors, as well as a donation form for them to complete.

We especially enjoy awarding gift certificates, amusement park and theater tickets, gift bags, and autographed items! Anything unique is great, too!
