Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
Even though it was a three-day weekend for the kids and teachers, last Saturday 298 kids, 209 volunteers,
55 parents, and 24 teachers & staff
helped to make our January 13th reading clubs a success!

FEBRUARY 10TH READING CLUBS

We'll need hundreds of volunteers for these February reading clubs, so be sure to sign up early and recruit your friends, co-workers, and family members as volunteers!

MUSICIANS NEEDED MARCH 9TH
Our March 9th reading clubs feature "Music & Entertainment", and we are looking for musicians to perform at each of our eight partner schools. In the past we've had everything from Korean drum troupes to electric violin players to mariachis to marching bands!

Our next fundraising events will be on May 11th and in the fall, so we need your help gathering prizes for silent auctions and bingo winners!
To help you get started, here is information about Reading to Kids to share with potential donors, as well as a donation form for them to complete.
We especially enjoy awarding gift certificates,
amusement park and theater tickets, gift bags, and
autographed items! Anything unique is great, too!
If you work at or have a connection with products or services to offer, please help us by asking for a donation to our events.

5K RUNNERS WANTED

Team Reading to Kids in the LA Big 5K (3.1 miles) near Dodger Stadium on Saturday, March 16.
This is our 10th time running the Los Angeles Marathon, and all our marathon and Charity Half Marathon spots are filled - but we are looking for more 5K runners to join our team!
