We urgently need 37 more readers to join us for our January 13th reading clubs.
Here is how you can help us meet our commitment to the kids!

your friends know the fun you'll be up to this Saturday!

Whether or not you can volunteer that Saturday,
Tweet @readingtokids, post, and message your
friends and followers. Here's a sample
post you can use:
"My favorite volunteer organization, Reading to Kids, is looking for more volunteers for their reading clubs
on Saturday, Jan. 13th. The theme is "Mysteries & New Adventures".
Join me at ###
Elementary School for a fun, heartwarming morning of reading to elementary school kids near downtown LA. To join me, sign up online today at www.readingtokids.org."
If you write your own
post, please be sure to include the following two
things:
- The reading clubs are Saturday morning, January 13th, near downtown LA
- Volunteers must sign up online by 3pm Friday, Jan. 12th, at
www.readingtokids.org
If you have people in mind who you think would really
like to read with us, tag them in your post. It will
alert them to the reading clubs and show up in their
friends' news feeds.

STEP IN TO A BIGGER VOLUNTEER ROLE

We really need more of our experienced volunteers to help train new and returning volunteers, be a GLC, or especially be a second or third Site Coordinator
at any of our schools.

25TH ANNIVERSARY
PARTY PLANNERS WANTED
Our Special Events Committee is in the early planning stages of creating our 25th Anniversary party next year on May 11th!

You made it happen! Thanks to the support of so many of you, our 2023 Annual Fund Drive was another success, with 421 donors helping us raise $70,738!
We still expect a few more checks in the mail and corporate matching donations, all thanks to your individual and collective efforts to support reading to children!

THREE RUNNERS WANTED FOR THE
2024 LA MARATHON,
13.1 MILE CHARITY CHALLENGE,
OR 5K!
Do you know any runners? Are you a

Team Reading to Kids in the 2024 Los
Angeles Marathon on Sunday,
March 17th!
This is our 10th time running the marathon, and we're looking for at least one more marathon runner and two Charity Challenge runners (the last 13.1 miles of the course) to join us in one of the best marathons in the country.
If either of those distances is too daunting, you can join us in the LA Big 5K (that's just 3.1 miles) near Dodger Stadium the day before the marathon on Saturday, March 16, 2024.
You can

friends to encourage them to join our team!
