Reading to Kids News
October 14, 2010

Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

Thanks to the 956 kids, 440 volunteers, 108 parents, and 22 teachers and administrators who made the October Reading Clubs a success! We would like to especially thank the seven magnificent magicians who brought "magic" to the reading clubs!

November reading clubs promise to be chock full of "Fun and Games!" We'll also be celebrating college spirit! Dig out your old college sweatshirt and wear your colors with pride. We always look forward to seeing which school brings the most spirit. If you would like to organize a group from your university or alumni organization, please call our Program Coordinator, Sklyar at (310) 479-7455.

Sign up early to ensure your spot by clicking here to RSVP to volunteer.

THE ANNUAL FUND DRIVE MAKES IT
FUN TO GIVE!

Reading to Kids relies on the generosity of our donors to keep the clubs operating so that we can inspire the love of reading for the next generation. Over the years we have given away thousands and thousands of books to school libraries and our reading club kids.

Please join us in making a difference, it's just a click away!

TIME IS RUNNING OUT! RENEW YOUR GROCERY STORE CLUB CARDS BEFORE NOVEMBER 1ST

Did you know you could support Reading to Kids just by shopping at the grocery store or using your credit card?

Vons/Pavilions and Ralphs have programs that are NO COST ways for you to donate to Reading to Kids. But you must renew your commitment before November 1, 2010 for your donations to continue.

All you have to do is go online and register your grocery cards.  When you use those cards at a participating store or service provider, the store will donate a percentage of your purchases to Reading to Kids!

Click here for simple instructions on how to sign up!

Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you on November 13th!

Sincerely,

Karen Kiss and Skylar Lenox
