Volunteers Needed for School Events

Reading to Kids needs volunteers to help us recruit kids and parents to attend the reading clubs!

The schools have welcomed Reading to Kids volunteers to help out at the events listed below.  At some events (Open Houses and Back to School Nights), we set up a table and distribute information to parents and students.  At other events (Parent Meetings), in addition to distributing information, we make announcements to promote the reading clubs.

One special event coming up on Saturday, June 23rd is Magnolia Elementary School's 100th Anniversary Carnival.  We need over 20 volunteers to help with the Reading to Kids booth, concessions, and activities such as face painting, sports, balloon animal art, and more!  Click here to see available shifts for the Carnival.

Saturday, June 23rd
12 - 4 p.m.
Set Up: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Clean Up: 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Volunteers are needed to help set up the event, promote Reading to Kids at our booth, help with concessions and fun activities such as face painting, football, basketball, and creating balloon animals.  To sign up, e-mail Jessica.Tritsch@readingtokids.org.
